shopping for a car is hard!!!! (long story that some of you can relate to)
For the past 2 months I have been shopping for a second car, but at the same time I have had to consider what I need it for, price, and who else can use it.
I am quite content with driving my 911 all year round and installing some snow tires for winter. However due to the fact that my parents live 50kms away (I know its not a big deal) and I visit them often I needed something to drive that would not give my mother a heart attack everytime it snows Now I considered getting a small car and something good on gas, but again it defeats one of the criteria which is that I need it for hauling ppl and also anyone who has ever tried to go to Costco in a sports car will tell you that it doesnt usually end up too well if you fill 1/10th of one of their shopping carts So that helped me narrow it down....a bit, no little hatchbacks (which was a consideration since I love the new VW Rabbits) So I started looking at mid sized cars, but considering what many cars like the Accord, Camry or Altima costs I am in the area of a smallish SUV (why not get something with AWD so I can let my parents use in really bad weather and I can just take their car). Thats when I called up a good friend of mine Mario (the guy form Panereh, this guy is one of the nicest guys you will meet) who owns a few Suzuki dealerships here in Toronto. So now I am looking at the Grand Vitara, I wanted nothing but the auto transmission so that my dad could drive it comfortably when he needs it (he says he is too old to be driving stick anymore ) So here we are crunching numbers and when the math was done Mario offered me a great deal on one of their XL7s that I could not refuse. www.XL7.ca So now I went from wanting a small little hatchback with no frills, to a midsize sedan (with auto and AC) to a small SUV and now to a 7 passenger SUV with leather and navi Like I said in the title, shopping for a new car is hard
