Hello, I've been lurking around the forum for a while, learning what I can.

I had been planning on buying a TT sub. They always reminded me of the one my grandfather wore. I was telling my grandmother this and she stated she still had his in the safe. I told her of my plans to purchase one, and stated I would rather have his, for the sentimental reasons. She told me I could have the watch, if I would not sell it. I offered her fair retail value and she declined. I pressed the money issue a bit, but all she would accept was dinner at a nice restaurant.

So anyway, I'm the proud owner of a 16803! My grandmother bought it for my grandfather as an aniversary gift in 1984. I have the original boxes, papers, receipt and anchor. It's in nice shape, and due for a service.

Anyway, I've got a few questions to post in the near future.
