New Member Intro and sale questions
Hello everyone. I joined a couple months ago and haven't had a chance to post yet. I've taken a look around and I am impressed with the amount of information available on this site!
I've owned a Rolex since 2002. I currently own a SS datejust with rodium dial (dark silver) with roman numerals and jubilee bracelet. I had the watched serviced about 2 years ago and it functions perfectly. I was going to look at getting a watch winder but my wife and I recently found out we are going to be having a baby. With that new information, I am going to look into selling the watch to save up for the baby. The questions I have would be an estimate on what I could get for it and what information is needed by the community to best sell the watch. I know I have the appraisal that was done for my home owners insurance and it was appraised at $3300 about 5 years ago. Is that a fair value for the watch? I am not looking to make a large profit, but I would like to get fair value for it. I will be posting a section in the for sale section, but I wanted to make sure I had my basis covered. I will also post pictures after I take them as well as I am sure that will be needed. I know I don't have the box and tags, but I may be able to get a hold of the specifics from my jeweler (Osterman Jewelers in Bloomington, MN.) Thank you for any information you can provide. It's nice to know I have someplace to go to get my watch questions answered. Sincerely, C. Moon |
