How tight to turn the crown?
I ask because I read another thread on here that said if the logo on the crown does not line up properly it is considered a defect. Then I thought I might be over-tightening the crown. I've broken stuff like this before!
I notice that the crown logo lines up perpendicular to the watch case when tight. I could then turn the crown fully tight some more with the logo nearly parallel to the case but not quite. This position is the tightest I could turn it but not the "proper" position, if there is such a thing? My guess is that because the crown looks nice standing straight up and down to the case, that, that should be the "correct" position? Or is this just a coincidence and should I be screwing down the crown as tight as it wants or as tight as I can get it? I hope this makes sense?! |
