They just look different in pictures...
I know this subject has been discussed to death, but, I shouldn't let that stop me. If folks were only able to post original theories, internet forums would needs lots less storage...
With that said, as an owner of a Sub Date, there was a small part of me that was keeping an eye open towards an upgrade to the new model w/ ceramic bezel. After spending some time with one the other day, I was left feeling really great about the watch I have. In pictures I really like the look of the ceramic bezel and larger case. In person there is just a little too much bling in the new model for my taste. It is just a little less "tool like" than the one I own. Finally, the size of the 16610 seems just right to me. That isn't to say that the 116610 isn't incredibly impressive. I've just decided that for now, it isn't for me. So... instead of new 116610... I'm going to set my sights on keeping my 16610 and finding a 14060. Isn't this a great hobby? :)
