1966 5513 Meters First - A little Help Please on My First Rolex
Hi All,
Long time viewer of this forum and first time poster. Its a fantastic resource and I look forward to contributing where I can. To cut a long story short, I'm ready to purchase my first Rolex and I've found something that for me, ticks all the boxes. This will be an expensive purchase for me personally, so part of doing my homework is to ask those more knowledgable then myself to provide some santity checking. This will be an international purchase and I potentially wont have the ability to view the watch in the flesh before hand. The description and photos below are from the seller - I would love your assessment of the watch and please feel free to post your comments here of via private message if you feel more comfortable. I'm not looking for a bargain but I am looking to pay fair market value so any PM's regarding what this what would be worth would be appreciated. Personally I'm more then happy with his asking price as an amount but its key for me to know that the watch is worth the money. Look forward to your input and thank you in advance! From the seller: My Rolex Sub model 5513. Dated 1966 serial number 1.58XXXX Metres first dial Original dial and hands nicely matching Tropic #19 acrylic dome Bracelet is a 7206 rivet with 80 end pieces serviced by Michael Young.
