Greetings from South Africa
Been 'lurking' here for a while. As a neophyte I will try to describe my small collection. My apologies to the experts.
My interest in Rolex watches was nurtured by my Father. He bought a Rolex, ‘OYSTERDATE’ with round 18ct yellow gold plated case measuring 34mm, with teardrop shaped lugs, fluted 18ct yellow gold crown, champagne coloured dial with ‘teardrop’ shaped indices, to celebrate my birth. This watch was given to my Grandfather on the occasion (1962). I own this watch now and wear it on very special occasions. I also own a SS Sea Dweller, Explorer 1(Black dial), Air King(Blue dial), SS Submariner (Black Dial), Datejust (116233), Ladies Datejust(179173), Omega Seamaster (Planet Ocean), Breitling Super Ocean and a Tissot "Touch screen" which I wear in 'high risk' environments. I see some members have an interest in Mont Blanc - I have a few of these too but on the occassion of my 50th last week some dear friends gave me a "Pix-O-Mat" This is a four colour ball point pen and mine is from the early 70's - it was apparently commissioned by Lufthansa......it came in original packaging! See y'all around! |
