2 questions please

My new Rolex and a couple of questions please.

1. What is the best way to clean my Rolex, i have seen people putting them in soapy water on you tube etc but how do i know it is watertight ?

2. There doesnt seem to be any adjustment on the bracelet, do i need to have links removed ?
