Well, first the background. Several years ago, when Panerai was introduced in the US and only a handful of dealers carried the brand, I fell in love with a 113, a beautiful SS white dialed watch that was -as my SO says- 'a church watch'. It is a beautiful timepiece that I wore for a long time (here are some pics with my IWC and YG Daytona). I really liked the watch and went through the 'strap phase'....brown, black, calf, croc......you know how it goes.

After some time, I felt this was a rather large piece and the weight was interesting, so during one of my watch 'consolidation' stages, I let it go.

Somehow, Panerai was always an option and every time I walked into one of their boutiques or the AD, Panerai 'sang' to me.

I mentioned this to my AD and also how SS felt heavy sometimes; so he introduced me to the most beautiful dial on the line: the 'sandwich'. Now, as you recall, I was torn between SS and Titanium, so I tried them both and......
