Forum Newby Question, Re: 116520
Hi,
I'm new to the forum and have a question concerning Daytonas. I've seen 116520s which retailed at an AD for $6000-$7900 depending upon when you bought the timepiece, listed for sale pre-owned for $10,850-$12,900. I've also seen: 16519s list $21,400 new, pre-owned $13,500-$15,000. 116519 list $19,500 new, pre-owned $13,000 116523 list $11,275 new, pre-owned $7300 The question is: Why, other than supply and demand, is a 116520 worth so much more pre-owned than new from an AD? Will the 116520 continue to hold it's pre-owned value in the future? And does anyone know if production of this model is increasing or remaining the same? Thank you, John PS: Is there another Rolex timepiece, other than the 116520, the Milgauss, or the 16610LV, in current production that would maintain a higher pre-owned value than new from an AD? |
