Air King bracelet scratch - copper color

I noticed a scratch on the bracelet of my early '80's Air King that I recently purchased. The scratch doesn't bother me, I know its going to get many with wear. What concerned me was it looks like where it is scratched a little metal that is somewhat of a copper color is showing. Does solid stainless steel scratch in this way? I don't think its anything left from what I scratched it on, at least it didn't come off with some trying with my fingernail. I've attached a picture, though its kind of difficult to see. Granted, most of my experience is with more modern SS watches, but I just want to make sure this bracelet isn't aftermarket or has any issues.

Otherwise the watch seems good to me and I had a watchmaker check it out. I've attached a couple pics of the watch and the bracelet clasp. Let me know if any thoughts. Thanks!
