Fed up with this Rolex Tosh
Don't know about you guys, but I get a bit fed up with all the crap surrounding Rolex Products. Let me explain my thoughts
1) Rolex are not some high and mighty giant, they are a very good watch manufacturer who need to sell their products to us the general public. 2) After speaking to my AD in the UK who have been a Rolex retailer since 1965 stated Rolex like other high end manufacturers do not encourage discounting, indeed if an AD is seen to advertise reduced prices as some retailers do with other brands then there agency can be removed as indeed happened in my area a number of years back. If a retailer wishes to give there buyer /client an incentive or gesture by way of money taken off then this is down to the retailers discretion and would naturally come out of their mark up. However discounting of Rolex watches is neither supported or encouraged by the brand. 3) If a BNIB is resold by a grey dealer, as long as the warranty is correctly dated and stamped by the orginal retailer that Rolex supplied the watch to, the warranty is still honoured. 4) Keeping the green hologram on the watch can cause a build a of bacteria and the moisture build up underneath the sticker may cause an issue with the metal. 5) The only reason Rolex is quiet and keeps things close to it's chest is purely as a result of industry hijacking, and marketing surprise. 6) Rolex do not make the best watch imo, but they are damn good. 7) People complain about the prices - well you don't have to buy one. 8) People complain about AD's, you are doing them the favour by buying from them, they should bend over back wards for you. If not then. a. Write to there head office complaining b. Rolex state there AD's are specially selected because of the service they can provide - so if it's not up to par, then write to Rolex directly with your issue. c. Simply don't buy from them, and slag them of to all an sundry. 9. If when buying a Rolex you come across imperfections, obviously don't buy the watch concerned, but also write to Rolex asking them why a watch left the factory in such a condiditon. I often wonder how many people actually write and complain directly to Rolex or feedback to them. But at the end of the day, nothing floats my boat at this moment than a Rolex tool watch.
