Why should you buy with a loupe?

Considering the high price on any Rolex nowadays,is it fair that I should be worried of any imperfection on say, a Rolex dial at the time of purchase? This pieces should be perfect as they come out of the factory!I have had many other brands and have noticed defects on some of them, but these are watches with a much lower retail price. On the other hand,I've had JLC and have never noticed anything as a manufacturing defect.Rolex still is my favorite manufacturer mainly for their classic design, ruggedness and I admit that I like a watch that is recognized and appreciated under any circumstance(aka social show off). But the point is,shouldnt Rolexes be immaculate from the first day you wear them?Is this the innevitable result of monstrous mass production?Your opinions gentlemen.
