Icon5 Datejust on leather

So for the past five years one Rolex had been all the watch I needed. Since the sub went in for a service last week I have realised the onewatch path may not be the ideal and I've been looking at used datejusts behind my subs back..

I really like the look of a dj on a leather strap, but also on a jubilee band, so do I take the saving and buy one with a strap? Or pay extra and have the option?

Please bear in mind money is an issue for me I'm afaird but I could conceivably stretch to a used dj to join the sub.

So is buying a dj without a band a good idea? Opinions welcome.
