Purchasing 16610 LV
I was checking out this pre-owned 16610LV with serial number D890### (I promised the seller to keep serial number to myself thus the ###) . It comes with papers from Chow Sang Sang Jewellery Co., LTD Hong Kong Dated 18 APR 2006 and the green plastic tag with the model and serial number.
With a loupe, I thoroughly checked the watch face, laser etching and all areas and everything looks legit. I haven’t checked the serial number between the lugs yet. I plan to do that when I return on Monday. To this point my only concern is that I read somewhere in this forum about 16610LV Face Format. For this serial number it falls under Mark 6 which states … Round ‘O’ , ‘R’ in ‘Oyster’ aligned with end of left foot of ‘R’ in Rolex, ‘Between 28 & 32 Mins’, Pointed 4, From D358XXX December 2005 to Z261804 22 December 2006. The watch face is consistent except the watch’s ‘R’ in ‘Oyster is aligned under the right foot of ‘R’ in Rolex. Does this mean that this watch is NOT AUTHENTIC? Thanks in advance. btw..Last Month I bought a pre-owned GMTc from this same jeweler which I had authenticated (opened the case to check movement) by this AD from Nassau St, Princeton, NJ. |
