BNIB…8 years old
On a trip recently i found an AD in a "hidden spot". Long story short, they are losing their status and have a D serial Turn-o-graph. However, they want brand new prices (current run of Turn-o-s, not the old model # that this is).
A good friend is interested, but he is concerned as it's 8 years old already, and while new "science" has produced great lubricants and blah blah blah. Anyways, he's worried it would need a service right off the bat. He won't pay what they are asking (plan is to walk in with a stack of cash and see if they bite), but he still has his concerns. I don't have the picture of the watch (and paperwork) in front of me, but I found a few things interesting. It mentioned it being Rose Gold (by model #), but it sure looked Yellow to me. Also, the "paperwork" info had it as "Gold" and not an X next to the Gold/Stainless option. Just for chuckle's sake, they also had a few M serial Ex2s. Was a good discussion with the fellow behind the counter, but I let him run off at the mouth a little before I stopped him on some of his "stories", and informed him I wasn't the average customer (which I thank you people here for the education).
