Reasons for keeping your rolex
Thought I would jot some of my logic as a WIS about owning and keeping my Rolex. Over the years, like many people I have owned many a timepiece. Towards the end I owned Omega's in order to plug the need/want for a Rollie. I'm not wealthy in the western culture sense of the word, and on occasions have thought what I could do with a couple of thousand quid around the house etc. The thought occurs should I sell the Rollie buy myself, say, an Omega and with the extra cash released use that for other projects etc.
Well if you've had these experiences, here is my reasoning. 1) I love watches especially the Rolex Brand 2) I have proved in the past, that no other brand satifys my watch needs as a Rolex. 3) If I sold, chances would be I would end up spending more money down the line coz I would have to have a Rolex at some point. 4) If things got really tough I would have no probs selling down the line. Experience tells me brands such as Omega simply do not hold a price as well, and are harder to sell second hand. So I keep the Rolex and enjoy it. knowing quite honestly that i'm actually saving money. If I calculated since the age of seventeen what I've spent buying other watches in order to avoid the Rolex lust, well this recent purchase in the long run will save save save, plus bring lots of WIS pleasure. So I hope this tale helps someone.
