It's not just AP who are becoming very sensitive to discounts at the ADs - apparently in November last year Rolex UK sent a directive that there were to be NO discounts on any models going forward. They then mystery shopped all their dealers to make sure the dealers were towing the line. The rumour is that one of their largest dealerships who'd had a particularly crap month decided to 'relax' the no discount policy to try and improve sales and got caught out and received a threat of losing the dealership across all stores.

Absolutely, I recall Patek doing the same a few years back.
