Advice on old Submariner

Just wanted to know peoples opinion on what I should do with my watch. The watch is a 1984 Submarinier, I love the watch but it does have some appearance issues. It took on some water about five years ago and the lume made a mess, the cyclops fell off about two years ago, and it could use a good polishing.
My question is do you think it is worth sending in and getting fixed up or should I just put it in the box and buy another watch just like it. The watch keeps great time and I love the fact that I can wear it and not have to be worried about putting a scratch on it, makes a great every day work watch and not to flashy.

Thanks
