Forgot My Glasses

Yesterday my daughter again asked why I didn't do something useful with my
time. Suggesting I do "something useful" seems to be her favorite topic of
conversation. She is "only thinking of me," she says, and wonders why I
don't go down to the senior centre and hang out with the guys. So I decided
to teach her a lesson about poking her nose into my business. Yesterday I
did go to the senior centre, and when I got home last night I told her that
I'd been, and that I'd joined a parachute club.

"Are you nuts?", she said. "You're almost 72 years old and you want to
start jumping out of aeroplanes?" I proudly showed her that I'd even got a
membership card. She said to me, "Good grief, where are your glasses? This
is card gives you membership to a Prostitute's Club, not a Parachute Club."

"I'm in trouble then, and I don't know what to do... I signed up for five
jumps a week." I told her. So she fainted.

Life as a senior citizen isn't getting any easier, but sometimes it can be
fun.
