Am I the only really liking the 512?
Good overview here http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/panerai...re-waiting-for or http://blog.perpetuelle.com/watches/...mir-1940-42mm/
42mm cushion case and hand-wound P.999/1 caliber with 60 hours power reserve, & ‘Swan neck’ regulator. Price short of $8,000. OK, it might not appeal to the the die-hard Paneristi that want to wear something giant, but personally I prefer not wearing anything over 45mm, regardless how much I like the look/history/brand, and even if I'm tall enough and have the wrists for it. This seems like a happy medium. Something you can dress up and down, wear with a suit/jacket as well as cargo short, still have that je-ne-sais-quoi Panerai. or ? |
