Icon5 New Rolex owner with a question!

I've just acquired my first Rolex - an original-style Explorer, 2010: http://www.rolex.com/watches/explorer/m214270-0001.html

I have a question regarding crown/stem operation.

When my crown is in Position 1 (winding position), the crown doesn't always pull out to Position 2. I sometimes seem to have to rotate the crown a little before it will pull out to Position 2, or I have to push the crown back flush with the case before I can pull out to Position 2.

It doesn't happen every time - just occasionally.

Is this normal? Many thanks in advance for your help.
