Vintage Rolex Date 1500 w/ Boxes, Papers, Rolex Service History, Nice Collector's Set
Up for grabs is a Rolex Date
1500 reference in steel and gold 2,0XX,XX8 serial number This is a one-owner watch which was purchased 3-15-1970 according to the warranty booklet. It came into my possession after being offered at the owner's estate. Case is in excellent condition with no dings, dents, or scratches. No corrosion. Both the serial and reference numbers are clearly engraved and visible. Caseback is excellent with multiple service marks. It is stamped 1500 and IV.68 Dial is silver with gold markers. Original dial was replaced by Rolex in 2006 as indicated on Rolex Service receipt. Along with dial, hands and crystal were updated. Current dial is in excellent condition. The bracelet is Rolex USA oval link 14k/ss bracelet in excellent condition. There are 22 links total, end links are marked 49 and clasp is marked w/ 5-9 stamp. It comes with everything you see in pictures and scans which includes: Rolex inner and outer box. Both in excellent condition which is rare for the outer box w/ old logo. Inner box reads Rolex Official Certified Chronometer and is meant for a Rolex which original came on strap. Original rolex COSC document with matching serial number hole-punched. COSC cert was issued May 20th, 1969. Original Rolex Guarantee booklet with hole-punched serial and reference numbers. This is a 32 page booklet with multiple images and descriptions. I have attached several scans of the booklet within same image. Booklet itself is in excellent condition. It shows the purchase date as 3-15-1970 Rolex service receipt from 2006 (based on sales receipt which paid the amount). The scan is attached, but actual paper copy will be included as well. Rolex one year service warranty card from the time of service with matching serial number to the watch. Receipt for payment of service. It is evident that the watch not worn much, if at all, after this last service. It runs well within COSC My price is $2850 shipped and fully insured within US. International please add $30 to price.
