Two tone submariner question

I have found an authentic two two submariner for sale. I have verified that the watch is 100% authentic, box, papers, original receipt, and recent service record that watch was serviced and contains 100 rolex parts.
My question is the watch is old. It is manufactured in 1993 however in saying that it is in excellent condition. Person is asking 7300 I was told that that is way over priced. AFter some back and forth negotiation the gentleman will sell for 6800 but will go no lower. I am still told a watch this old is not worth this much. Any advice on what a fair price would be? This will be a gift for my son. Thank you
