SUB Owners: Are you having a hard time rotating your bezel?
Hi folks,
I am curious if any sub owners are having or have ever had hard time rotating ther bezels? For me, the answer is NO. I have a 15yr old submariner and the bezel turns like a charm. The reason I ask is that I have 3 SEIKO Monsters, that I bought abut 7 yrs ago. Like clockwork, their bezels have become stiff -- I mean you need pliers to rotate them -- unless you dip them in water, they rotate like new. But once dry, you need pliers again. This is just proof for me that you get what you pay for. A 15yr old sub, whose bezel rotates like charm and 3 crappy seikos that are less than 7yrs old and their bezel is stiff like a rock. Those in my family who argue with me about why spend so much on a Rolex, next time, I am gonna throw those monster watches in their face and say "That's why!" ... I am not trying to start a Seiko vs Rolex hate thread but man, Rolex shines... stands heads and shoulders above seiko ... you got to have mental issues to compare the two brands ... Luckily I got only $400 invested in the monsters ... and this is a lesson that makes me proud to have spend thousands on Rolexes because time will tell what is quality and what is seiko ... |
