OK hopefully by now you've been set straight and you won't let go of that 16710. So either your budget is $6-10,000 or it isn't. At that price you're wide open for stainless steel. My vote is a 114060 if you like the new stuff or a 1680 Red if you want something vintage. I held in my hands yesterday a beautiful 1680 Red that was right at $10k although I think you can get one cheaper. You can probably find an older Day Date on a strap which I personally think is a great look but admittedly not as nice as on a bracelet.
