Ready to take the plunge
Hi all,
Just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been lurking on the forum for a while now. It started with seeing someone's GMT pepsi at work and wanting to know more about it. I decided I wanted one and so naturally I ended up here to educate myself a bit. I then went through a phase of believing I might purchase a non-rolex: Breitling Chronomat (too generic) Omega Sea Dweller (too simple) Breitling Navitimer (too big) And so having been all around the internet I find myself back here and still wanting a pepsi. I figure this forum has to be about the only place one can buy a pre-owned rolex and have confidence it is genuine. You guys are far more able (and willing) to spot a faker and get rid of him than someone like eBay or Chrono24 who simply don't care if people get ripped off. I'm not too interested in box, tags and papers as I intend to wear the watch daily rather than keep it in as good a condition as possible with half an eye to the possibility of reselling later. Instead price is key driver for me. I'm after a late serial number in good condition but a few small marks probably won't upset me too much. The one AlexTheGreat had advsertised looked like the sort of thing I'm after. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...ighlight=Pepsi |
