This kind of came up on another thread, but it was an ancillary topic, so i t didn't really get explored.
I've always made a point of wearing a nice watch when out at a jeweller.
I believe that I'm taken more seriously, and that the sales rep is much quicker to come over if they think that I may actually walk out of there with something.

Others seem to think that their bargaining power is impaired if the jeweller thinks that they have too much wealth...

I'm always interested in improving my strategy...what do the rest of you guys think?
