Date change on my GMT-IIc is acting really funny. Advice needed.

I got my GMT-IIc in the second week of January. A couple of times after getting the watch, I stayed up to see what time the date changed. Like many have reported here, the date would flipped over at 12:03:10. This was the case 2/3 times I saw it.

Well, last night, I grabbed the lady's DJ I bought for my wife and my watch to see what times they would change. At a few minutes after midnight the DJ had not yet changed, but the GMT-IIc looked like it was in the process. Interestingly, it looked like it was stuck a little bit. The "27" had moved downward and I could barely see the next date. The DJ switched to "28" at about 4 minutes after midnight. When I finally went to bed at 12:16, my GMT-IIc looked the same and had not yet clicked over to "28." When I woke up this morning, it was on "28."

Is this a problem? What do you all recommend? Thanks in advance.
