Broke down and added to the collection
a SS Black dial Daytona ref 116520, a Blue/BlackGMT II ref 116710 and a Black Explorer II ref 16570. Have stayed away from the Daytona for many years and swore I would never pay retail. Unfortunately, while I was at my favorite AD saw an old new stock Explorer II black dial, which I had wanted for some time (already had the white dial version). While I was negotiating on the Explorer II, they brought out the Blue/Black GMT II and the SS Black dial Daytona. They had always asked me if I liked to see the Daytona on my previous visits, but because I knew they did not discount the Daytona I passed. Fell in love with the watches, and walked out with all three. No discount on Daytona but bundling made it easier to get over my no retail price rule.
Current Rolex collection consists of Rolex Sea Dweller, Rolex TT champagne dial Yachtmaster, Rolex Pepsi GMT, Rolex Coke GMT, Rolex Root Beer GMT, Rolex white dial Explorer II and Rolex Submariner LV. Collection also consists of 5 Omega watches, a couple of Breitling watches, a couple of Baume and Mercier watches, a Tudor watch, a Tissot watch, a Longines watch, and 3 Tag Heuer watches. All swiss sports automatic watches. Last edited by rnaidu; 9 December 2013 at 03:38 PM.. Reason: adding pictures |
