Mini review of my new Exp.2 Polar 216570

Hi all,

Hopefully all of you survived the Polar Vortex some of us had here in the US. Interesting thing, the day I picked up my POLAR Exp.2, it was the coldest day Ohio had seen in 20 years. So, I thought that was pretty neat! Of course I froze the whole day!

My favorite thing about the explorer 2 42mm is the case size of the watch. I love my SubC, however I really would like the case to be a bit bigger. This watch fit just the ticket. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't look that much bigger on my wrist than a SubC does. It's only 2mm different, but I think it does the watch the justice it deserves. It looks more substantial. I find it to be the perfect size. Also, this watch isn't flashy, which is something I like.

I will say, that the Milgauss - GV that I own, is probably my most comfortable watch. However, the Explorer 2 comes into a close second for me. In addition to comfort, the bracelet has to be the best oyster lock clasp/bracelet I have seen on a Rolex. It is absolutely amazing. The brushed look on the watch is perfect as well. The weight on this watch hits the spot for me all they way!

Now to the dial- I love the White dial on this watch! I own almost all black dial watches, so this actually felt like I bought something different from the usual. In addition to that, the 24hour hand is sweet! My love of orange started with the Milgauss and carried over to the explorer 2. I think orange is the best color for this watch's 24hour hand.

One last thing- I think this watch is quite versatile as it is white, and you all know the saying - "everything matches with white". Though that is true, I don't know if this watch will be my every day watch. However, it will be for a while, because it's brand new to me! I read somehwhere, here possibly, that a Rolex should be understated elegance. That is exactly what this watch is. It's beautiful yet simple all in one.

Here's a quick photo, which prompted me to make the review. Such a great watch!
(love the new iPhone camera where you can change the shade of the pic and all!)
