FS: 1968 Rolex Submariner 5512

Up for sale is an example of the iconic ref. 5512 Rolex Submariner (2.4m serial). This is a rare reference that is ever increasingly difficult to find.

Details:

Dial: Original matte dial with a beautiful even creamy patina and matching hands. The dial has darker spotting around the rim of the dial that is hardly visible and difficult to capture on the camera.
Case/Crystal: Case has previously been polished and has scratches from normal use. Serial and Reference numbers are clearly visible. Caseback is stamped 'IV 68'.Crystal is in good condition. There appears to be some lint on the inside of the crystal which can easily be removed by a watchmaker.
Bracelet: Original folded 9315 oyster bracelet with 10 +1 links with normal stretch and wear marks from use.
Additional: No additional accessories included. The watch runs well but service history is unknown.
