Jasper,

If it's a GMT-MASTER and has a sapphire crystal it's a 16700. If it has an acryllic crystal it's either a 1675 or 16750.

What sometimes gets confusing is the fact that Rolex (for what ever reason) decides to run the MASTER 16700 and the MASTER II 16710 concurrently.

16700 circa 1988 till 1999
16710 circa 1988 till the end of the run.

the 16750 MASTER and the 16760 MASTER II also had concurrent runs--one plastic and one sapphire.
