While i do not own one, the Sub C date seems to be the central point of a Rolex collection - and, as oftentimes stated here, the classic sport model Rolex.

I am a fan of the GMTs; not just because I am a pilot and passionate about aviation, not just because I use the GMT complication, but also because the GMT2C works very well at dress or play. It's a little blingy with it's PCLs, but still a rugged, multi-purpose Rolex sport watch. In fact, my GMT2C is the reason i do not own a SubC (though i have a DSSD.)

I really get get onto the BLNR things - but that's just me.n I like tow-tones and many here do not; to each their own.

I do most respectfully inquire as to why you would not consider a sport model and something along the lines of an Explorer I or perhaps a DateJust. Of course, that said, we get back to the GMT2C which, as stated above and by many, does the sport, casual, dress routines very well.

Sorry I was not of much help - happy hunting!
