My AD
I went in to my AD Tara fine Jewelers this past Saturday. While in there talking with a friend a guy is looking at the Rolex counter as was I. The owner Eddie comes over to help the guy and he wants to buy the new Sub Hulk. He gets his drivers license and credit card and I hear him say ok everything looks good. After a few minutes I look around and the guy is gone I thought it kind of strange that he would just purchase and leave because they spent so much time with me going over everything books the watch etc. so I ask and the owner said I didn't sell him the watch because he was just going to go and sell it for more money and he wanted someone to buy the watch that would enjoy it and not flip it. I thought that was pretty good of him he could have made full retail and turned the guy away. Has anybody else seen an AD do this before? It's not always about making money it's about gaining a lifetime customer.
