GMT II 16710 dial fonts
Dear TRF GMT Master MASTERS,
I just acquired a second 16710 (left, below). I noted that the dial font differs from the one I already had (right, below). Right = K serial, 2002 (thicker font, brilliant white) Left = P serial, 2001 (finer/thinner font, off-white) Is this normal? Should there be a font difference between these two or is one of them an aftermarket dial? I also notice that the bezel insert fonts are different, is that normal/abnormal? I used the incredible the GMT Master II thread and in particular this post about dial fonts as reference but still cannot tell. Appreciate your help. |
