Donor dials on Daytona 6263s

I am looking for info on donor dials that were used from 6239s on early model 6263s. I read, although not common, that Rolex used donor parts from time to time from old models on first run newer models, especially in the 60s and early 70s.

I have a Daytona 6263, circa 1972 with what I believe is a late version 6239 dial (black with white dials and white "Daytona" above the center chrono).

Here is one article I found today on the topic, any additional info or thoughts, pictures, testimonials would be much appreciated. I was really lucky to acquire a correct 6263 dial (for the cost of a used submariner) for the watch but I want to do more research before I start swapping out parts.
