SubC or Datejust II

I've been checking out Rolex's new line of watches and was interested in a Sub Ceramic as the classic diver. Once I saw it on my wrist (8"), it actually looked smaller than I anticipated... probably because most photos on wrist are smaller than mine.

The clerk recommended I look at a Datejust II and I was not interested in the fluted bezel as it's just too loud for me, but... she suggested I check out the smooth bezel (just happened to be silver face with stick dial) and I was truly surprised. It really sung out to me.

I believe part of this is in fact because it's 41mm (not 40mm) and the light dial and lack of a bezel provide the watch a larger "look". I've gone back twice to try these on and the Datejust II is definitely more comfortable as well and I actually like the polished center links.

What do you think? Does the SubC look too small on me? Is the Datejust II a better fit on my big wrist? I would not have believed this before, but I'm leaning toward the Datejust II.

Thoughts? Comments? Just looking for feedback. Best
