Need opionions: bronze Archimede pilot 39

I love this watch-- mechanical, beautiful design, love the patina effect of bronze (highly personalized finish over time), and less than $1,000. Also, 39 mm is much better for me (42 or 44, no way).

This watch has gotten some very solid reviews as well.

I read that you might get a bit of green stain on the arm, which seems absurd for a fine watch, any opinions on the truth of this?
