GMT Master II - 16700 instead of BLNR?
So lately I've been thinking about picking up a BLNR. Today at work around lunch time I decided to skim through the classified section at my firm. For those of you who may not know what that means, it's an online exchange where people who work at the firm can post items they are looking to sell in hopes that someone else who works at the firm may be looking to purchase them. So I came across a Pepsi 16700, which looks like it's in great condition for $4,800. This made me think what if instead of a BLNR, I went for a classic Pepsi.
I don't know the gentleman selling the piece, however he said in his post he'd be willing to meet at the Rolex store to verify authenticity. Seems like it wouldn't be a problem to go over to RSC in NY and have them open it up and check it (for some potential issue, etc.). I took pictures of the posting and the two pictures of the watch with my phone, wanted to get everyone's thoughts, as I highly value them! |
