Good news, my teenage nephew is a watch guy!
I gave my nephew a couple of cheap watches I did not use anymore because I was not sure he would care about watches. His mother said he wore them all the time.
He plays a lot of sports for his High School. They dress up before the game, so I gave him a Pepsi Invicta Pro Diver for his 15th Birthday. He wears it on special occasions and before the games. His 16th Birthday is coming up. My wife who is visiting them told me he really liked the watches, so it seems like a no brainer to get him a watch for big number 16. He is a great kid and likes knowing they were my watches. I was going to give him an automatic Hamilton Khaki (with the internal bezel). Then I thought, that might be too nice a watch to give to a 16 year old, maybe when he is 21. I have a couple of Seiko's and a Citizen Eco-Drive (with the boxes) I could give him. One of the Seiko has a stop watch, so that might be something a guy who plays many sports might like. What do you think? P. S. He went out swimming with friends and has now learned the difference between waterproof and water resistant. He dried it out and it is still working.
