Questions
I am very new to watches but I have wanted a Rolex for a very long time and I feel it is almost time to buy one =). I have some questions that I couldn't find answered on the internet if anyone can help me
1. What exactly is measured when it says for example "Oyster, 40mm, steel", what is the "40mm"? Is this the diameter of just the dial, or is it the bezel, or the entire case, does it include the winder on the side, etc? 2. Can the 24 hour hand on the Explorer II be set independently from the normal time on the watch, to use it as a 2nd time zone, similar to the GMT Master? 3. Can the "Cyclops" lens be removed, as I don't like them =( (just my opinion) 4. Do you to dismantle the watch to switch the steel bracelet for a leather one or is it relatively easy to do? At the moment I don't like the idea of taking apart something I have never experienced before (even if a professional did it), I would see this as more of a thing to do after owning one for a few years (I wonder this because I can't afford the gold models which are required for the leather bracelet options) ( I am thinking for one of these to be my first Rolex if anyone is interested in but this will be narrowed down when I find out the answers to the first 3 questions :D 116520(white dial) 216570(white dial) 116400GV(blue dial) 116622 116000(white dial) 116300(roman dial) 116200(roman dial) ) |
