Tanning/Sunburn itch of death!

I am making this thread for people who either tan in beds, the sun or get occasional sunburn, this is for YOU! Maybe no one will respond to this thread or whatever, thats fine. I just hope it helps at least someone!

A couple years ago after laying in the sun for a bit, I got a light sunburn. It was nothing that bad, but shortly after I got the sunburn I started getting this deep deep itch beneath the skin. It is impossible to make it go away by scratching. The itch gets so bad so quickly that it makes chicken pocks seem like a walk in the park.

In a matter of hours I was seriously going insane and was going to just go to the ER. The itching comes from a allergic reaction from the sun and usually last a couple days. I promise you, every five minutes feels like a day.

This may all seem strange to you, but if youve experienced what I have you know EXACTLY what I am talking about. Now, lots of people try aloe vera, cold baths, oatmeal etc. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. There is one thing that works and that is the beautiful holy PEPPERMINT OIL. This works for all super intense itches as it basically makes the skin feel frozen making all itches go away in that area. You can get it at any vitamin shop or gnc.

I wrote a huge thank you email to one of the few people who posted about peppermint oi and sunburn somewhere on wikipedia. Not many people know about this apparently, so I just wanted to pay it forward.

I hope this helps somebody someday
