Classic SD inventories
Hi everyone,
Just returned to Toronto after a quick trip to Niagara Falls and London, Ontario. I stopped by several AD's on my never-ending quest to find the best deal. BTW, I have now found the SD (M-serial) selling for $5,275 CDN (taxes included). Please PM me for details. This is the lowest I have EVER seen, but the owner just WILL NOT ship ANYWHERE due to problems with previous customers. Regarding the price increase I posted about earlier, it seems that some AD's have heard of it, and some have not heard anything. The ones that haven't heard of any increase say that there is no warning...that they simply get a new price list by courier, and that the new prices are effective immediately. They also doubted that the price would increase on the SD, given that it is being discontinued. Some AD's did say that they are not able to order new ones any more, for the reason that Rolex is running out of SD stock worldwide. Very recently, a thread came up (...hot off the press) in which the DS was pegged at being 9 months away in the UK, and that the old SD will be phased out concurrently. Does this mean that the classic SD should be easily available for several months yet? Or has Rolex stopped production and will only sell until supplies run out? Some AD's were suggesting that supply is so rare now that the classic SD cannot even be ordered now. Any truth to all this? Do you think the SD will still be available in 1.5-2 months (my purchase timeframe)??? Comments? SNB |
