First of all, congrats to OP and his daughter. Good for him to be able to provide for his child like this and her maturity to receive such a gift.

I don't understand all the hate about getting a rolex. The MSRP for that watch is about US$ 6,200. That is a lot cheaper than a beater car that many people will have no problem buying their child once they got their license at age 16. That watch will be remembered by her for the rest of her life. My parents bought me a Seiko when I was 14. I still have it even though water gets in easy but I kept it for sentimental reasons.

IMO, a rolex will last a lot longer that a car. Grant it, a rolex is a piece of jewellery. Would people question OP if he spends 6k on a diamond pendant or earrings? I would be more worried about my kid driving at 16 than wearing a rolex when the setting is right.

My pick? Floral.
