Sub with everyday dress shirts?

I've been researching the Explorer I (39mm) vs Submariners and went to a few stores to try them all on. I personally like the Sub's look more but I'm worried that it's not going to fit very well with everyday dress shirts and suits (have to wear these to work).

I didn't wear a dress shirt with me when trying them out, but most of the pictures I see on here show that the Sub doesn't really fit under the cuff. This surprises me because I still hear so many people saying Subs go well with suits, etc. Can anyone provide some personal experiences with this? Thanks!

Anyone who says that a Sub is ok with a suit is kidding themselves. The bezel catches on the cuff and looks a total mess.

I once more my Sub with a suit and ended up taking it off and slipping it in my pocket.

If I wear a suit, I wear my Explorer which slides under the cuff and does not ruin the cut of the suit.
