Buying first ever Rolex
I've always been a fan of blue faced watches, and my current watch is a Tag Link Calibre 16 'DiCaprio' ;) :)
I'm looking to buy a Yachtmaster as for at least a year or two now, this is the only Rolex that has ever caught my eye. I've found a 2 year old one, for $8000 USD (in my budget)... so you'd think 'All Systems Are Go' Hmm, well I visited here and have since realised that there's a much loved model called the Daytona. Indeed this is a truly stunning timepiece, and I'm wondering whether I should switch at the 11th hour. The Daytona doesn't have a blue face of course. The other issue is black or white... I usually favour dark, but here's a watch that looks equally good in both colors. Perhaps the bigger issue is pushing the budget up by another $2k. The dealer also has one of each in stock, as well as the YM. I suppose the gut feel is if I did buy the YM, would I keep wondering whether I should have bitten the bullet and gone Daytona !?
