FS: Rolex RED Submariner 1680
Hey Guys:
Reluctantly, I must sell my 1970 vintage RED Submariner 1680. Serial Number 2,671,XXX. Case back is marked 1680 and 1.70 on the inside. I have no history on the last overhaul but it runs and winds great. The case is solid with no issues. Lightly polished in the past. The crown is the correct Twin Lock in great condition. This watch is a 9.5 out of 10 all day long. The MK 4 dial has nice creamy yellow lumes; there is no visible chipping or marks anywhere. The insert is an awesome fat font with a kissing 4. The "top hat" crystal was replace by the San Francisco RSC in early 2014. The hands are just a half-shade lighter. Zero corrosion. The replaced pearl is intact and looks great. The SS bracelet is a Rolex 9315 that was restored by Michael Young just last year. It has 380 end links. I bought this watch from Jacek over at HQ Milton; it only needed the pearl and a period correct bracelet to complete it. I am only selling it to pay off some upcoming bills. You will not be disappointed in any way. Please PM or call me at 713-446-4953 with any questions. The Nato strap is included at no charge. The middle photo is from HQ Milton before the pearl was added. These RED's are getting harder and harder to find in great condition without any issues. Firm price is $13,750......shipping and insurance are included....PayPal +3% or Cashiers Check are acceptable. Please, USA buyer only to minimize shipping problems. You will have a 3 day refund period to return the watch for any reason. Full refund less shipping. Thanks for looking. John B
