I can't believe watches are so addictive!
So, I've been wanting a Rolex for 7ish years now. I almost bought it several times, but I could never bring myself to drop 5 grand on a watch. As many of you know I finally "broke" down and did it. I decided my 30th birthday should be special. So before the price increase occurred, I bought a Sub Date (16610) the day before the increase.
Long story very short, it was the best 5 grand I ever spent!!!!!!!! Before I bought my 16610, I thought it would be the only watch I would ever need. Maybe a beater to wear when situations don't call for a Rolex, but only the one "nice" watch. I'm not afraid to wear it by any means as I have worn it pretty much everyday since I got it, except in those situations mentioned prior. Seeing how happy this watch makes me, I want more, more, more. I almost feel out of control. It doesn't help that work is super slow right now and I spend a lot of time on the forums, shopping, etc. But now my thoughts watches being too expensive are out the window. I want so many now and I'm almost seeing myself as having them. Hell, today I went to the AD and tried on several Panerai. I just added another damn one to the list. I just can't believe how addictive these things are. I mean one of my first thoughts today was that I was going to go look at watches at the AD! Ugh. I think I might need help. I mean look at this list of watches I want/need. Omega 42mm Black Moon (3570.50) Omega 41mm Black SMP (2254.50) Panerai 45mm Manual Radiomir w/sec (Pam 183) Panerai 40mm Black Auto Luminor on bracelet w/sec w/date (Pam 50) Rolex 40mm SS/Pt Yachtmaster (16622) Seiko 42mm Hugh Orange Diver (SNM037) Ugh.............................
