Incoming...........A Grail Obtained.

After much deliberation, thought and hard decisions, it is with extreme pleasure (actually, words cannot describe the feeling) to finally say that I will be the very proud owner of a brand new Day-Date 118238 (white roman dial). To me, it is nearly perfect in every aspect, from the solid 18K yellow gold, crisp white roman dial, fluted bezel and the legendary President Bracelet. A true classic and the quintessential Rolex.

As some Forum members know, the 118238 is my grail and to be able to finally own it is an amazing feeling. The definition of the word grail may vary from individual to individual, but to me, a grail watch represents THE one watch a person has wanted and yearned for a long, long time and during that period, may have even thought was unattainable at times. Now that I have obtained my grail, I can honestly say that my Rolex journey is complete.

Thank you so much to all who have read my posts and provided their comments regarding this matter. TRF is a wonderful place filled with individuals who share the same passion for Rolex as I do. I feel very fortunate to be part of this community and to have been able to make some new friends (you know who you are).

I am scheduled to pick up this marvelous timepiece tomorrow afternoon from the AD. The wait is going to be excruciating, but will be worth it once I can truly call it mine. The traditional "Un-Boxing" photos and wrist shot will follow suit later this weekend.
